Napoleon The Third. A hero or a villain?

Napoleon The Third was one of the most influential global leaders of the 19th century. Taking from his uncle, Napoleon, he had conquered France, and like his uncle before him, created an empire. His empire though did not stretch all the way to Europe, but to other continents. This was a time of imperialism. Let's look at some of the things that Napoleon The Third did.

Napoleon III made Paris the city we know today, the city of lights.

Napoleon III lost to the Prussians and because of that loss, The German Empire was born.

Napoleon's III father was the king of Holland during Napoleon First's reign.

Napoleon III was the last monarch of France.

Napoleon III promoted the building of the Suez Canal and established modern agriculture, which ended famines in France and made the country an agricultural exporter.

By these facts, we can safely assure the greatness of Napoleon III.
